Flyers sign prospect from Ohio State
After being selected by Philadelphia in the sixth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, centerman Tanner Laczynski has spent the last four seasons making a name for himself with Ohio State Univeristy, where he served as an Alternate Captain, and amassed 143 points (48G, 95A) through 138 games.
With his college career coming to an end, it's time for Laczynski to take the next step in his career.
As of Monday, President of Hockey Operations and General Manager of the Philadelphia Flyers, Chuck Fletcher, announced the organization has signed Laczynski to a two year entry-level contract.
Flyers Vice President and Assistant General Manager Brent Flahr commented on the signing of the 2017 IIHF World Juniors Gold Medalist;
"Tanner has completed an excellent college career at Ohio State University and we are very excited to have him under contract.”
"He plays a mature two-way game, he's a proven leader, and we see him as a versatile forward for the Flyers organization going forward."
