The 22-year-old posted a 21-5-5 record in the AHL this season and finished third in the league in goals-against average (1.92), save percentage (.933), and wins (21).
Ingram, originally drafted 88th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, spent three seasons with the WHL's Kamloops Blazers before turning pro.
In his final year of junior (2016-17), he posted a league-leading .927 save percentage and earned a spot on the league's second all-star team. He was also selected as the Blazers MVP for the second straight season.
That same season, he appeared in four games for Team Canada at the 2017 World Junior Championships, recording a 2-1 record and a 2.57 goals-against average with one shutout, helping Canada to the Silver Medal.
After spending his post-draft years bouncing between the AHL and ECHL, it was becoming clear that Ingram wasn't going to be a fit in Tampa Bay and a change of scenery was obviously needed.
The Lightning eventually traded him to the Predators for a 2021 seventh-round pick on June 14, 2019.
He will need some more time in the AHL to further develop his game, but he has a bright future, and we could see him pushing for the starting job in Nashville sooner rather than later.
