The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed 26-year-old winger Victor Olofsson to a 2-year deal with a $4.75 million AAV. This deal will take the talented goal scorer to unrestricted free agency.
Olofsson put up career highs in goals (20), assists (29), and points (49) last season. The former 7th round pick was 4th on the team with points this season and is somewhat of a power play specialist, consistently setting up shop on the half wall.
Olofsson has been perhaps the only consistent player in the Sabres' top-6 forward group in his pervious four years with the club. Olofsson is an important part of the Sabres' young core group that continues to improve.
