Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes has stated that if they do decide to move Jake Allen, it won't be until they receive some clarity on the health of Carey Price.
According to Nick Alberga, Montreal's rival, the Toronto Maple Leafs, are one of three teams that have checked in on the availability of Jake Allen.
Allen, 31, has one year remaining on his contract with a cap hit of $2,875,000. With Price's injury and recovery this past season, Allen mostly split the starts for the Canadiens with Samuel Montembeault, but also dealt with his own injury issues.
In 35 games, Allen posted a record of 9-20-4, a 3.30 GAA, a .905 save percentage and two shutouts.

Montreal likes him a lot, so unsurprisingly, the price tag is high.— Nick Alberga (@thegoldenmuzzy) July 10, 2022
