It was first reported back on March 13th that the Stars wanted Radulov to get tested for the virus. General manager Jim Nill had told press at the time that Radulov had been battling an illness of some sort, and wanted to confirm whether or not it was Coronavirus.
“We'll get him tested and go from there,” Nill said. “He's been fine. He's bounced back… Whatever he's had, he's fought off no problem. Is it the corona or not? That's what we're waiting to get a test on.”
At the time, he and Aaron Ness were the only two players rumoured to potentially have Coronavirus, but both ended up testing negative. Yesterday however, the Ottawa Senators confirmed that one of their players tested positive. They also mentioned that the player is fine, feeling only mild symptoms and is in isolation. With how quickly this is spreading, it wouldn't be surprising to hear of more cases around the NHL soon.
