Ho-Sang is well-travelled when it comes to hockey. The former 28th overall pick of the New York Islanders was never able to get a permanent foot in the NHL during his time with the team. After several seasons with the Islanders' AHL affiliate, he played in Sweden in 2020-21 before signing a one-year deal with the Toronto Marlies for last season.
Ho-Sang came to the Islanders as a highly-touted prospect, but attitude issues seemed to keep him from realizing his NHL dream. However, he appeared to do a complete 180 with the Marlies last season, expressing his sincere gratitude for the opportunity to play, and racking up 16 goals and 35 points in 47 games, one point away from his career high in the AHL in his rookie season. The 26-year-old also suited up for Team Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics, getting three assists in five games.
