One of the greatest football players to ever live, and the heart and soul of the New England Patriots over the last twenty season, six time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady has officially announced as of Tuesday morning, he intends to part ways with the Patriots franchise that drafted him in 2000.

Brady, the winningest quarterback in NFL history, released a statement, titled ‘Forever a Patriot' early Tuesday morning;

Brady was drafted 199th overall by New England in the 6th round of the 2000 NHL Draft. He would become the Patriots starter in his second season, following an injury to Drew Bledsoe and immediately found a home in the line up.

Through his twenty seasons, Brady would make nine Super Bowl appearances, winning six of them. The most in NFL history.

While a landing spot has yet to be confirmed, there are several teams interested in signing Brady, who's contract with New England ended at the end of the 19-20 season, in which his team was eliminated in the AFC Wild Card game, at the hands of Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans.

At 42, Brady has amassed quite the list of accomplishments in the NFL, but it's clear he still has much to offer to the game, and where he lands next season might be the biggest question in the NFL to date.
