DeAngelo was set to become a restricted free agent, but according to Chris Johnston of TSN, the Flyers have signed 26-year-old to a two-year contract worth $10 million ($5 million).
The Sewell (New Jersey) native is now in the fifth NHL organization of his young career. In 64 games this season, DeAngelo had 51 points (ten goals, 41 assists), 56 penalty minutes and was a plus-30. He went on to add ten points in 14 games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
