The 2022 NHL Draft coverage of the first round was surely a crazy one with all of the trades and surprising picks, but newly appointed San Jose Sharks general manager Mike Grier stole the stage near the end of it. Long-time team scout and former NHLer Bryan Marchment recently passed away, and many of the team said their condolences before their picks. The Sharks pick came up and Grier made a very heartfelt speech regarding the recently deceased Marchment.
"You will be missed, but you will never be forgotten."
