Stanley Cup Delivered to Wrong House in Colorado
Addresses in a large metropolitan area like Denver can be tricky at times. Confusion over Gabriel Landeskog's address led to the Stanley Cup being delivered to the wrong house.
The man who owned the house was quite surprised to see the Cup coming up his walkway! Obviously, he knew some Avalanche players lived in the neighborhood, so he steered the delivery guys in the correct direction. Of course, the fan took this opportunity to hoist the Cup. He didn't think to take pictures before the Stanley Cup was on its way to the rightful owners.
This quick detour to the incorrect address may have save the Stanley Cup at least one dent from the players this offseason.
