The Vancouver Canucks are having a busy Friday, announcing contract extensions for three players this afternoon and some changes/additions to the coaching staff.
But now, they've done something Canucks fans have been waiting for, signing
Brock Boeser to a contract extension.
Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin announced on Friday that the team has agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension worth $19.95 million ($6.65 million AAV) with forward
Brock Boeser.
"We're very happy to have worked out a new deal for Brock" said Allvin. "He is a very talented player and has been an effective goal scorer throughout his entire career. We look forward to seeing his game progress in the years to come. Now that his contract is in place for three seasons, Brock can shift his entire focus to his on-ice performance."

Boeser, 25, was set to become a restricted free agent this summer and rumours were circulating about a potential trade, but it looks like those can be put to rest now.
The Burnsville native appeared in 71 games for the Canucks this season, recording 46 points (23 goals, 23 assists), 20 penalty minutes and was a minus-five.
