Jay Woodcroft Reportedly Signing Extension with Oilers
Per insider Kevin Weekes, the Edmonton Oilers are close to inking an extension with interim Head Coach Jay Woodcroft, however he reports the situation as 'fluid' & 'developing.'
As Weekes reports, the Oilers are close to signing a three-year extension. This, after Woodcroft assumed the head coaching position halfway through the 2021-22 season & turned it around, going 26-9-3 in his 38 games as Oilers' head coach. Mark this signing down as the first in many moves the Oilers will need to make this summer, after falling in four games to the Colorado Avalanche, who are currently competing for the Stanley Cup against the reigning Tampa Bay Lightning.
