Sammy Blais Signs One-Year Extension w/ Rangers

After missing pretty much the entire 2021-22 season with a torn ACL, Sammy Blais has signed a one-year extension with the Rangers:

This is a prove-it deal for Blais, who has a high ceiling but has yet to hit it. He would fit into NYR's system & could be a catalyst for them 5v5. However, injuries & being stuck in STL's bottom-six has kept his totals down. So with a one-year deal, he has to earn his next contract, which is a seriously motivating factor for lots of players. Which could be a serious bump for the New York Rangers.
