Six years after returning to the NHL from the KHL, Alexander Radulov is going back home. The KHL team Ak Bars Kazan has announced the signing of Radulov using a video excerpt from Jurassic Park.

His agent confirmed the signing to Sport24.ru.

"Radulov's agreement with Ak Bars is for two years. Alexander Radulov is an adult and, believe me, he chooses his own career path," said Yuri Nikolaev

While no money has been announced, one media outlet said the contract was for two years, at $1.3 million USD the first year and $1.4 million the second. That does not include bonuses.

Radulov, 35, just completed a contract with the Dallas Stars that carried a cap hit of $6.75 million per season for the last five years. He struggled in 2021-22, scoring just four goals and 22 points in 71 games in the regular season. He played three games in the playoffs, but failed to hit the scoresheet.
