The Western Hockey League held their annual Bantam Draft on Thursday and the Vancouver Giants made some history.
With their 13th round pick, 268th overall, the Vancouver Giants selected defenceman Chloe Primerano. The North Vancouver (British Columbia) native has now become a first-ever female selected in the Western Hockey League's Bantam Draft.
Primerano, 15, played with the Burnaby Winter Club U15 Prep during the 2021-22 season. In 30 games, she tallied nineteen points (two goals, seventeen assists) and two penalty minutes. She went on to add two assists in three playoff games.
Congratulations to Chloe on this historic moment and best of luck going forward!
