The Czechs are off to a pretty good start at the 2022 IIHF World Hockey Championship and they are about to get a massive addition to their roster.
According to Czechia General Manager Petr Nedved announced that Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak and Toronto Maple Leafs forward David Kampf will join the team in the coming days.
Note: the following is translated from Czech.
"If everything goes according to plan, he (Pastrnak) should be training with the team on Wednesday and he should start the match on Thursday against Latvia," says Nedved.
Nedved added, "David Kampf played the whole playoffs without injury and he feels great," describes Nedved. "We still have to wait for the final confirmation from Toronto, but 99% should arrive at the championship venue on Thursday,"
After Tuesday's game against Austria, Czechia will face Latvia on Thursday at 1:20 p.m. ET.
