Gary Bettman: The Ottawa Senators Are Not for Sale

Following the death of owner Eugene Melnyk, much conjecture has circulated regarding a sale of the team & possible relocation of the team's home arena.

However, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman refuted these claims in an interview during the first intermission of last night's Toronto-Tampa Bay Game 3.

He included that the Senators are not an unstable team & are functioning properly, though the opportunity for a new stadium in downtown Ottawa is still on the table for now.

The team has faced lots of turmoil over the last two decades, but their promising core of players has injected newfound optimism for the club's future.
