Some sad news to report in the hockey world on Friday. Longtime ECHL forward Lance Galbraith has passed away on Thursday at the age of 42 following an accident.
"The ECHL and its member teams mourn the loss and express their condolences to the family and friends of former ECHL player Lance Galbraith, who passed away in an accident on Thursday at the age of 42." The ECHL said in a statement.
The Toronto (Ontario) native spent parts of eight seasons in the East Coast Hockey League playing for the Augusta Lynx, Dayton Bombers, Idaho Steelheads, Alaska Aces, and Utah Grizzlies. In 446-career games, Galbraith had 349 points (145 goals, 204 assists), and 2104 penalty minutes.
Our thoughts are with the Galbraith family at this difficult time.
