Stanley Cup Playoff clinching scenarios for April 14th

Four teams will look to book their spot in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday night, meanwhile, the Central division title can be claimed tonight as well.

Let's take a look at how the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Tampa Bay Lightning can clinch a berth in the playoffs, and how the Colorado Avalanche can wrap up the Central division title.

The Boston Bruins will clinch a spot if :

- They defeat the Ottawa Senators in any fashion AND the Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the New York Islanders in any fashion.

OR

- If they get one point against the Ottawa Senators and the Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the New York Islanders in regulation.

The Calgary Flames will clinch a spot if :

- They get at least one point against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will clinch a spot if :

- They defeat the New York Islanders in any fashion.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will clinch a spot if :

- They defeat the Anaheim Ducks in any fashion.

OR

- They get one point against the Anaheim Ducks AND the Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the New York Islanders in any fashion.

OR

- The New York Islanders lose to the Pittsburgh Penguins in regulation.

The Colorado Avalanche will clinch the Central division title if :

- They defeat the New Jersey Devils in any fashion AND the Buffalo Sabres defeat the St. Louis Blues in any fashion AND the Dallas Stars defeat the Minnesota Wild in regulation.
