Cale Makar Puts the Jets Away In Heartbreaking Loss for Winnipeg
The Winnipeg Jets would have to be basically perfect to make the playoffs at this point. So naturally they gave everything in the tank against the NHL's best team. They took the Colorado Avalanche to overtime after a gutsy sixty-minute effort.
Each time the Avs gained the lead, the Jets would climb right back. Colorado even pulled ahead by 2 at one point! You could tell the Jets really wanted this one. And the heartbreak was pretty clear after Makar delivered the OT dagger:
This defeat likely takes them out of playoff contention, so you can pretty much count out the Jets barring any major runs.
