Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs is the NHL's reigning Rocket Richard Trophy winner as the league's top goal scorer, and it looks like he's deadset on a repeat as he continues to put up goals in bunches. Matthews set two new records in a game against the Dallas Stars last night where he scored two goals, including the overtime winner. With 56 goals on the season, Matthews has now officially passed Rick Vaive for the most goals in a season for the Toronto Maple Leafs, a team with one of the longest histories in the NHL (he needed to get to 55 to do that). Besides that, he now has the most goals in a season by an American-born player ever in NHL history.
