Petr Mrazek among eight placed on waivers on Sunday; Leafs sign Olympic gold medalist netminder

The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed goaltender Petr Mrazek on waivers according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Mrazek hasn't had the season he was hoping for with the Maple Leafs, he has a 10-6-0 record through 17 games along with a 3.48 GAA, and an .884 save percentage.

Also placed on the waiver wire today was Riley Nash (Arizona), Brad Richardson (Calgary), Kyle Turris (Edmonton), Christian Jaros (New Jersey), Kyle Clifford (Toronto), Harri Sateri (Toronto), and Derrick Pouliot (Vegas).

Sateri has just signed with the Maple Leafs, Friedman added. It's a one-year, one-way contract worth $750,000. Sateri has been playing in the KHL for the last three season, and won Olympic gold with Finland in February.
