Golden Knights say Eichel's latest injury a 'huge concern'
Just 15 games back after having surgery on his neck, and it appears Jack Eichel may be on the sidelines again for a while. Eichel was hurt in Thursday night's game against the Florida Panthers after blocking a shot with his hand.
Vegas coach Peter DeBoer told media Friday that the team has not yet received the results of Eichel's evaluation, but added that he's doubtful for Saturday's game and that his latest injury is a "huge concern".
With Eichel out, that Golden Knights have nine regular players missing time due to injury, including starting goaltender Robin Lehner. The team is in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time since the team came into the league in 2017.
