Mark Scheifele will face the Montreal Canadiens for the first time in nearly nine months after he was suspended for a hit on Jake Evans during Game one of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Following the morning skate on Tuesday, Scheifele was asked if he would fight Evans and he said that if Evans is wanting to, he'll answer the bell.

"If Jake Evans wants to fight me, I'll answer the bell," Scheifele said according to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.

Jake Evans was asked about facing Scheifele for the first time since the hit and said that he's over the incident and has moved on.

"For me it was handled last year in the playoffs - I think the best way to get back at someone is winning a series and not even letting them play so for me it's done with," Evans said.

Update: Scheifele did end up dropping the gloves with Chris Wideman late in this game. Both got in a couple of swings before falling to the ice.
