Carter Hutton not going anywhere even after trade to Maple Leafs
Carter Hutton has had quite the past couple of days as he was put on waivers, traded, and now he is apparently not going anywhere.
Arizona waived the 36-year-old, then after he cleared, it would be assumed that he would be assigned to Tucson, but that will not be the case. Hutton was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs for future considerations, but that is where things got interesting.
Hutton has struggled tremendously this season, posting a 7.76 GAA and .741 SV%. He is also older and nursing an ankle injury as well. So with this being said, the Leafs are loaning Hutton to the Tucson Roadrunners, but they will still have the accommodation of having an extra goaltender in their system.
He will be able to practice and skate with the Roadrunners until his ankle gets better, and he will be able to live with his wife and kids without having to move to another city.
