The hockey world is still reeling from the tragic events that took Adam Johnson's life recently in England, but apparently, some teams haven't been able to read the room.

A poorly timed post

During their win over the Arizona Coyotes, Anaheim Ducks enforcer Radko Gudas laid out young star Clayton Keller in what was a very awkward but impactful hit.

Unsurprisingly, the social media team wanted to show off their veteran's physicality on the ice, but the way in which they did so on social media has now come under fire.

Beware the Butcher.

A tasteless caption and Tweet

While no one was hurt severely in the hit, fans have been quick to point out the caption and just how close Gudas' skates came to Keller, claiming that the timing of the post just wasn't necessary.

Given the tragic events in hockey this week, and the anxiety some people would have seeing both of Gudas' skates narrowly missing Keller, I'd hope the Ducks social media team might have slightly more awareness in putting out a post this week with that phrase.

While it obviously wasn't intended to be a tasteless Tweet, it was clearly poorly timed, so hopefully the social media team can do better in the future, because this wasn't a good look for them.
