The Seattle Kraken are officially a part of the National Hockey League, and now every team and fanbase is wondering impatiently what player they will lose to the expansion draft.

Although the draft doesn't take place until June, the Kraken seem to have picked out their goalie. According to Toronto Maple Leafs insider James Mirtle, the Kraken are interested in a pending free agent goalie. Sources have told the insider that Seattle «likes» Florida Panthers goalie Chris Driedger.

The 26-year-old goaltender will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season, and has been solid over his past two seasons with the Panthers. Last season Driegder appeared in 12 games, posting a 2.05 GAA and .938 SV%. He has also been impressive this year putting up a 2.17 GAA and .923 SV%.

Although it is unknown if he can handle the workload of a full season in the NHL, his track record seems to be putting him in the right motion. It sounds like the Kraken are more than tempted to test out just how good he can be over a 82-game schedule.
