Player Safety reaches verdict for Kaiden Guhle's suspension

The NHL's Department of Player Safety reached a verdict concerning Kaiden Guhle's suspension following a dirty slash on Flyers' Travis Konecny.

Last night, in a Habs' 4-1 win over the Flyers, Guhle slashed Konecny to retaliate after a hit.

In the Canadiens Vs. Flyers game of Thursday night, Travis Konecny landed a dangerous hit on Guhle. Later in the game, he got into it with the Habs' 2022 first overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky in an intense battle for the puck. After that altercation, as he was skating by the Habs' bench, Konecny received a slash from Guhle, who was sitting at the bench.

After no penalty was called by the referees, Garnet Hathaway decided to take matters in his own hands, and called out Guhle in his comments to the media.

"The officials told us they didn't see anything, but I feel like the league is going to review the sequence." - Garnet Hathaway

The NHL did just that, by announcing a hearing for Guhle on Friday afternoon.

With the Flyers and the Habs set to meet again on April 9th, this rivalry will be intersting to follow.
