Bruins re-sign Jake DeBrusk

The Boston Bruins have re-signed winger Jake DeBrusk to a new contract. The 24-year-old has signed a two-year deal with an average annual value of $3.675 million. He will still be an RFA when this new deal expires.

DeBrusk skated in 65 games with Boston in 2019-20, recording 19 goals and 16 assists for 35 points. In 2018-19, the 6-foot, 188-pound left wing tallied a career-high 27 goals and 15 assists for 42 points in 68 appearances with the Bruins. He skated in 70 games in his first NHL season with the team in 2017-18, posting 16 goals and 27 assists for 43 points. In his three seasons with the club, DeBrusk has appeared in 49 postseason games, recording totals of 14 goals and 9 assists for 23 points.

Since joining the team in 2017-18, DeBrusk ranks fourth on the Bruins in goals (62), fourth in power play goals (17), tied for third in game-winning goals (14), sixth in points (120) and eighth in assists (58).

The Edmonton, Alberta native was originally selected by Boston in the first round (14th overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
