The Winnipeg Jets have announced that Forward
Adam Lowry has been named as the 3rd Captain in Jets history, the 10th for the Franchise, which once went by the Atlanta Thrashers.
Lowry, 30, has been apart of the Jets organization since their inception, having been drafted in Winnipeg's inaugural 2011 NHL Draft, 67th Overall. Lowry had served as the Jets Assistant Captain last season, who did not have a Captain following
Blake Wheeler being removed from the role.
Lowry is 6th in Jets all-time Games Played with 621, along with 93 Goals, 111 Assists & 204 Games in his 9-year NHL career, all with Winnipeg. Lowry has played for the Jets since the 2014-15 season.
