The former Leafs GM has leaked some information about his time in Toronto.
Dubas Acquires Karlsson
This past week, the Pittsburgh Penguins sent shockwaves around the NHL after acquiring
Erik Karlsson from the San Jose Sharks.

Kyle Dubas was quite open about the process it took to get Karlsson and he leaked some major information by accident.

After the blockbuster Karlsson deal was completed, Kyle Dubas revealed something about his time in Toronto.
"It was a fairly lengthy process that goes back to my previous employment, even though he's in his early thirties, he continues to be one of the top skaters in the NHL and obviously, his offense is quite prolific." - Kyle Dubas
This is major information from Dubas. Knowing that the Leafs were in on Karlsson as well could have put some pressure on Dubas to get the deal done in Pittsburgh.
While we do not know the exact package Dubas offered the Sharks as the Leafs GM, we can be sure it was less valuable than what he offered as the Penguins' GM.
Could this be tampering? Dubas having inside information on another team in on Karlsson surely is not allowed.
