The Toronto Maple Leafs announced on Monday that forward Nick Robertson underwent season-ending surgery to repair a shoulder issue. They also announced that AHL defenseman Mac Hollowell underwent surgery to repair a fractured knee cap and will miss at least 12 weeks.

Robertson, 21, has 5 points in 15 games with the Leafs this season. The 2019 2nd round pick has shown that he has a high ceiling but cannot seem to stay healthy. First, it was a knee injury, then a fractured fibula, now a shoulder issue, sustained from a Matt Roy hit in December.

Hollowell, on the other hand, has spent most of the year with the Marlies of the AHL save for 6 games (two assists). In 18 games with the Marlies, Hollowell has 0 goals but 13 assists.
