Early Monday morning, the Winnipeg Jets signed defenceman Declan Chisholm to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Chisholm, 20, just recently finished his fourth season with the Peterborough Petes of the OHL. It was his best season to date, as the Bowmanville Ontario native collected 13 goals and 69 points in 59 games. He shattered his career high of 48 points which he set the season prior, despite playing in eight less games this season. In 214 regular season OHL games, he put up 142 points.

The Jets selected Chisholm with their fifth-round selection (150th overall) at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He is far from a finished product but is an intriguing prospect nonetheless.
