While management of most NHL teams is preparing for the eventual return of play, that doesn't mean they are too busy to help out a fellow human in distress. David Morehouse, President and CEO of the Pittsburgh Penguins, is being called a hero after saving a cameraman during protests taking place in the city.

After witnessing a group of protesters beating up KDKA-TV cameraman Ian Smith, Morehouse came out of PPG Paints Arena, located Smith and dragged him away from what was happening. Morehouse brought Smith inside the arena and made sure he was safe until be could be transported to hospital.

Smith had tweeted that he was being beaten up by a group of protesters but was then saved by another group of protesters. KDKA reporter and anchorman Larry Richert wanted to find out exactly who it was that dragged him inside, eventually finding out that it was Morehourse.

“Knowing David as a Beechview guy, he's a Pittsburgher,” Richert told the Post-Gazette. “It was a very volatile situation. You have a police car on fire. You've got all this stuff going on. He had the guts to come out and save him from a potentially very tragic ending.”

"It was pretty heroic what he did," added Richert.
