As announced on Wednesday by Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning, the organization has signed forward prospect Nils Hoglander to a three-year, entry level contract.

Banning commented on the newly signed 19-year-old;

"Nils is a dynamic player with a high skill level and a strong work ethic. He's a creative playmaker with great hands and goal scoring abilities. We're pleased to sign Nils today and look forward to seeing continued development in his game next season."

Hoglander was selected by Vancouver 40th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.

The 19-year-old took the ice in 41 games for Rogle BK of the Swedish Hockey League this season, collecting 16 points (9G, 7A) and 39 penalty minutes. In two seasons with the team, the young forwards accumulated 30 points (16G, 14A) in 91 games.
