The Minnesota Wild have signed goaltender Hunter Jones to a three-year, entry-level contract. General manager Bill Guerin announced the news this morning.

Jones, 19, was selected by the Wild in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft in the second-round with the 59th overall pick. He has spent the last three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Peterborough Petes. The 6-foot-4 goaltender had his best OHL season to date this year, posting a 2.75 goals against average (GAA) along with a .913 save percentage (SV%) and a 31-14-3 record.

This season, Jones ranked second in the OHL in shutouts (4), fourth in both wins and GAA, and fifth in SV%. He also played for Team OHL in the 2019 CIBC Canada-Russia Series. He will begin his professional career next season, likely with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.
