It was a quiet one on the waiver wire on Thursday afternoon as only one player was put on it.

After only ten days since being claimed from Tampa Bay, forward Alex Barre-Boulet has been put back on waivers by the Seattle Kraken according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. The 24-year-old played in two games for the Kraken recording one assists, no penalty minutes, and was a +/-0.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will get the first crack at re-acquiring Barre-Boulet, but if they opt not to put in a claim, then the current 32nd team in the standings, the Montreal Canadiens will have a chance to take him. Barre-Boulet is from Montmagny, Quebec, and as mentioned, only 24-year-old. There's a good chance that Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin put in a claim on him.

In other waiver news, the only player on Wednesday's wire, Glenn Gawdin from the Calgary Flames has cleared and has been assigned to the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League.
