Aaron Rodgers spoke to this long time NHL player about being traded after playing with one franchise for so long, according to B/R Open Ice on Twitter:

Pavelski's Long NHL Tenure

It makes perfect sense. Pavelski, who was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in 2003, spent the first 13 years of his NHL career in California before walking to free agency in 2019 and signing with the Dallas Stars, who he played his 1000th career game for.
Now 39 years old, Pavelski signed a 1-year $3.5 million extension back in January. In 4 seasons in the Lone Star State, Pavelski has registered 279 points in 335 games.
