While many already know about the relationship between Toronto defenseman Morgan Rielly and Canadian figure skating royalty Tessa Virtue, neither have talked much, if at all, about it publicly. That changed a bit Thursday while Rielly was doing an interview with Sportsnet. He was asked about the relationship and briefly addressed it, saying he's glad he's not stuck in the house by himself.

"We're in it together, trying to keep each other sane, and do our part and just quarantine. I really won't talk about it too much, but I'm really glad I'm not alone."

For anyone not familiar with Virtue, the 30-year-old retired ice dancer is one of the most recognizable figures in the figure skating world. With ice dance partner Scott Moir, she is the 2010 Olympic champion, the 2018 Olympic champion, the 2014 Olympic silver medalist, a three-time World champion (2010, 2012, 2017), a three-time Four Continents champion (2008, 2012, 2017), the 2016–17 Grand Prix Final champion, an eight-time Canadian National champion (2008–2010, 2012–2014, 2017–2018), and the 2006 World Junior champion. Virtue and Moir are also the 2018 Olympic gold medalists in the team event and the 2014 Olympic silver medalists in the team event. They are the most decorated Canadian ice dance team of all time and the most decorated Olympic figure skaters of all time.

There had been plenty of speculation about a relationship between Reilly and Virtue for a few weeks, but the first time the two appeared together publicly was during a live stream performance by the band Arkells on March 23rd.
