While speaking with several other Central Division players during one of many NHL Video Conference, St. Louis Blues captain Alex Pietrangelo says teammate Jay Bouwmeester, who suffered a cardiac episode and collapsed on the bench, in Anaheim on February 11th, is doing well and in good health.

Bow's good, Pietrangelo told his fellow players.

Following the episode, Bouwmeester, 36, had a cardioverter defibrillator implanted in his chest, about seven weeks ago.

Pietrangelo said he and some other teammates have stopped in to check on Bouwmeester on multiple occasions since the NHL's hiatus began. He said Bouwmeester's doing well and been taking walks through his St. Louis neighborhood.

The Blues captain also said that prior to the suspension of the NHL season due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, Bouwmeester, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs, had become a regular at home games following the incident in Anaheim.

Pietrangelo commented on Bowmeester's condition;

That was kind of a breath of fresh air for us, knowing he's out and about and hanging around the guys.
