New York is the most affected place in the United States when it comes to Coronavirus. The latest figures available indicate that there have been 52,000 confirmed cases, including the owner of the Rangers, who also manages the New York Knicks. There are more than 700 deaths right now and it's still counting.

James Dolan has tested positive for COVID-19. He is the first major sports owner in North America to be infected. For the moment, there are still only four players in the NHL to have contracted it: two from the Avalanche and two from Ottawa.

The 64-year-old New Yorker has isolated himself at home and has had only mild symptoms associated with the virus. Dolan also acts as president and CEO of Madison Square Garden, the home of his two teams.

“Dolan was placed in isolation and developed only mild symptoms. He continues to oversee the buisiness operations", said the Knicks in a statement.

The NBA was the first on the North American sports scene to suspend its activities on March 11. The NHL quickly followed and announced the suspension of its activities the next day, March 12.
