Some huge news coming out of Arizona as Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman (with credit to AZSports' John Gambadoro who had it first) is reporting that the Coyotes have struck a blockbuster deal with the Vancouver Canucks.
According to Friedman, the deal involves Coyotes captain
Oliver Ekman-Larsson and RFA winger
Conor Garland heading to Vancouver. Ekman-Larsson, 30, is signed through 2026-27 and carries a $8.25M cap hit.
The return from Vancouver is the 9th overall pick in this evening's NHL Entry Draft, a 2nd rounder in 2022, a 7th rounder, 31-year-old Antoine Roussel, 35-year-old Jay Beagle, 36-year-old Loui Eriksson.

There is no less than $63.5M in real cash changing hands in this deal. Wow.

Arizona picking up approximately 12% of OEL's salary. The former Coyotes captain has 6 seasons remaining on his current deal.
