Bruins fan springs into action after witnessing Brad Marchand's truck getting a parking ticket

The Boston Bruins and their massive fanbase are still reeling from their Game 6 loss to the Isles this week, joining the growing list of teams who have been eliminated from the 2020-21 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Despite putting up a losing effort in round two, Bruins fans are showing their unwavering support for the team rather than slinging insults and personally attacking them on social media, as we've seen from a few other fanbases during the postseason.

One shining example of this support occurred on Thursday when Bruins forward Brad Marchand received a parking ticket while parked on the North End of town. A fan watched it all go down and, despite the fact that he clearly earns less than Marchand and his $6.125M annual salary, he wrote a note to the league's most valuable pest and tucked it under his wiper, complete with cash to pay the ticket. The letter read:

"Great season, #63! Always a blast watching you play. The asshole who gave you the ticket def isn't a B's fan. This one's on me. Let me know if you got it!", also leaving behind his Twitter handle for Marchand to confirm receipt of the cash.

Class move by the fan and, despite what he shows on the ice, Marchand is apparently a real class act off the ice. I would anticipate that we will have a followup on this story at some point with Marchand's response to the situation.

My gut tells me that this fan may have just earned himself a free piece of Marchand memorabilia just for being a good human. Fun story, this.
