One of the best prospects in the 2021 NHL Draft and possible number one pick may not be ready to turn pro quite yet.

In an interview with NHL Network on Friday, Michigan defenseman Owen Power said he's leaning towards returning to school next year. The 18-year-old explained that he wants the «true experience of playing college hockey» after the COVID-19 pandemic had demolished much of the programs activities and capability of hosting fans last season.

Currently, Power is ranked as the number one North American skater by the NHL's Central Scouting. Along with him, he has two Michigan teammates in the top ten in Kent Johnson (No. 3) and Matthew Beniers (No. 6).
