Forward Conor Garland was recently traded from the Arizona Coyotes to the Vancouver Canucks. On his way out of Arizona, he did not have a lot of pleasant words for the organization he played for since being drafted in 2015.

"Everybody knows what's gone on here. We haven't heard anything from the team since maybe three days after the season ended when they asked for our offer. It's been a while waiting for that. You just want to go where you're wanted,» Garland said regarding the Coyotes.

He seemed very happy to be getting out of Arizona and going to the Vancouver Canucks, and had nothing but positive words for his new team.

«If anyone ever asks me who I thought was going to be a really good team I would say Vancouver because I am really high on Pettersson, Horvat & Hughes, and I'm from Boston so I saw Demko play a lot at Boston College. I know how good they are. I want to help them get better."

Only time will tell if the Canucks will be better than they were last year, but on paper, at least, there have been big improvement.

Arizona has long been embroiled in controversy, from constant changes of management to losing a first round draft pick for violating rules, to issues with a new arena. The list just keeps building.
