The New York Islanders were able to stave off elimination on Wednesday with a thrilling comeback in the third period that was capped off by Anthony Beauvillier's OT game-winner on Tampa Bay Lightning netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy just 1:08 into overtime.

It was an exciting moment for Isles fans as they blew the roof off of Nassau Coliseum in what could be the team's last game in the building. Fans cheered and screamed and clapped and tossed beers onto the ice in celebration. It was likely the biggest moment for Beauvillier up to this point in his career.

After the game, Beauvillier spoke with the media and gave his thoughts on how it felt to pick up the win and force Game 7 in front of such an elated, ruacous crowd.

"Feels amazing. To be honest, going into OT the building smelled like cigarettes and now it smells like beers," said Beauvillier, glancing over an ice surface absolutely littered with $17 beer cans and some orange rally towels.

It is undoubtedly a moment that Beauvillier will remember one way or the other. It will either be the story of how the Isles forced a Game 7 to eliminate the defending Champs or the story of how they came to within inches of the team's first Stanley Cup Final appearance since 1984.
