Controversial referee Chris Lee will get Game 6 between Islanders and Lightning

After a horrendous job of officiating during Game 4 between the Montreal Canadiens and the Vegas Golden Knights, many hoped that Chris Lee would no longer be refereeing playoff games this year, however that does not appear to be the case.

Thankfully for Habs fans, Lee will not be officiating their Game 6 against the Golden Knights, however he will be one of two referees for Game 6 between the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning. The good news here for fans of either of these two teams is that Lee seems to have a personal vendetta against the Habs and goes out of his way to try and impact their ability to win games. Perhaps he will be fine in this game given that it's two different teams entirely.

While the officiating has been a hot topic throughout this year's playoffs, Game 4 between the Habs and Golden Knights was a completely different level. Both fans and analysts were appalled at how bad of a job the officials, particularly Lee, were, and questions arose about whether or not there were grudges held that led to what transpired. It will be interesting to see how Lee officiates tonight in what is a must win game for the Islanders against the Bolts.
