Same officiating crew expected in Game 6 for Habs and Golden Knights series

According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, the NHL will stick with Kelly Sutherland and Eric Furlatt as the referees for Game 6 of the Vegas Golden Knights and Montreal Canadiens series.

This will come as a major relief for Habs fans, as these two did a much better job than the officials, particularly Chris Lee, in Game 4. While the officiating throughout the entire 2021 playoffs has been questionable at best, Game 4 between these two teams was an entirely different level of bad. There were several blatantly missed calls to the point that even NHL analysts and former players were chiming in on social media wondering what was going on.

Over the years, many have come to believe that Lee has a personal vendetta against the Canadiens, which makes him refereeing their games in playoffs a serious deterrent in winning games. Thankfully, the NHL appears to have realized just how bad the officiating was in Game 4 and is trying to correct it by sticking with Sutherland and Furlatt for Game 6 on Thursday night.
