Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche really wasn't in the mood for answering questions after his team was eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs by the Vegas Golden Knights earlier this week, but one question in particular seemed to leave him confused and annoyed even more. Adrien Dater of ColoradoHockeyNow attempted to ask MacKinnon a question that came out as mostly gibberish. Here's the transcript of what he asked, with the video posted at the end of the article.
"Uh Nate, you know I know you're a gamer and uh, and all this and uh you know I'm just thinking maybe out loud as far as in your shoes right now it's like alright we've done all the things we can do we've done all the game planning we can do maybe, maybe just f— it we'll just go in next year and not think that anymore and just win this thing when we don't think so much is that uh am I on the right path at all with this like maybe you just guys think a little too much?"
MacKinnon seemed to have no idea how to answer the question, and just replied "no." I believe the intent was to ask him whether the team was overthinking things in the playoffs, but it came out as nonsense.
Dater took exception to people poking fun at him on Twitter. as you can see below.
