It didn't take long for former Arizona Coyotes head coach Rick Tocchet to land a couple of interviews.

According to Frank Seravalli, Tocchet is expected to interview with the NHL's 32nd franchise, the Seattle Kraken, to possibly become their first ever head coach. He is the first known person to have an interview with the Kraken for the head coaching job.

Craig Morgan of AZ Coyotes Insider is reporting that Tocchet will also interview with the New York Rangers for their head coach vacancy after David Quinn was fired last week. The Rangers have already interviewed former Vegas Golden Knights head coach Gerard Gallant prior to him heading to Latvia to coach Canada at the World Championships. Gallant remains the front-runner for the Rangers job, but the team wanted to interview others before making a final decision.

Tocchet, 57, played parts of 18 seasons in the NHL with Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington, and Phoenix where he tallied 952 points (440 G, 512 A) in 1,144 regular season games.

After he retired he coached with the Avalanche as an assistant coach, then coached with the Coyotes, Lightning and Penguins. In 2017, he returned to Arizona where he was the head coach for four seasons before parting ways with the organization last week.
